when I start backup assistant plus on a HTC One (M8) for windows I receive the following:

Is there another answer to this question other than the truly dumb "try using this instead"? I believe the OP has a backup he wants to restore, which is exactly the position I'm in now (with the exact same error message). Using something else to do the backup DOES NOT HELP....
Oh, and by the way, the link you provided is to a page of instructions for the Android version of Verizon Cloud. The OP has a Windows phone... and also by the way, the reviews for the app all say it doesn't work right (won't back up contacts etc.) on Windows phones.
