Is verizon mifi faster than standard phone hotspot connections?

I'm an avid gamer and I need a fast, solid connection. My phone (S7 edge) is decent but if like something that has better, more stable connection. Packet loss seems to be an issue, as is ping. Does the jetpack or Mifi that verizon offers have any better performance than my s7 edge does for hotspot capabilities?

Torchmanz,

That's a great question! I can certainly help with verifying this for you. Unfortunately, our current hotspot devices do not have an ethernet connection. Here's a link to our current hotspot devices available http://vz.to/2su09Dg Does this help?

Why don't you get a landline internet connection?

I live in a condo/hotel that doesn't offer it. Wi-Fi only.

Let me guess. They chose to live in an area without it and now expect mobile data to be replacement for wired home broadband.

That's an awesome question Torchmanz. We want you to have the best option. Our Jetpack/Mifi devices would be the same as your S7 Edge. Your plan may limit your jetpack or hotspot speeds after you hit a certain threshold.

Does verizon offer any hotspot devices that have a direct Ethernet

connection? For instance, to plug in a device that doesn't have Wi-Fi but

needs internet connectivity.

You could use a router and turn it into an access point and plug the ethernet from the router to your device.

Or purchase a USB modem and connect it to a compatible router.
