There is a button on the jetpack that says "view usage". When I press it it
says "data usage not available at this time"??????

I apologize for the confusion! Let's look into this. Have you been able to use this feature in the past? What is your current zip code? Do you know your bill cycle end date? After reviewing the user manual, there are several functions available via the Power Button. Please advise, are you following these steps:
1. Power on your Jetpack.
2. Press (Power/Menu button) quickly when the display is on.
a. Press one time for data usage information.
b. Press two times for the Wi-Fi name.
c. Press three times for the Password.
d. Press four times for Settings & Info URL guide
e. Press five times to return to the Home screen

This may help I have a IT ticket [removed]....I have been down with this
problem since April 20. It will not give me data usage when pressing the
button on the jetpack. My zip code is 41031. I know I can go to the
myverizon to get data. But I have always used the jetpack for data usage. I
have asked for a newer model which they are suppose to work and to older
ones do not. I have had the unit for 18 months and am due an upgrade in 6
months. Why not replace it now and solve the problem now?

Have you perform a Factory Reset as outlined on pages 25 & 26 of the User Guide?
The device has a 1 year warranty and Verizon will not replace it after the warranty has expired. If you have replacement insurance you’ll have to file a claim and pay the deductible.

Yes the factory reset was done,the Sim chip replaced, they say it is not in
the unit. It is because I have an old model jetpack??????
