I had to replace my jetpack this week and now I can't connect to the internet.  The status shows local only in the network connection.  I'm using Windows Vista with the Athero.  I'm able to connect fine with my work computer which has the same Atheros network connector name.  I've run all windows repairs and still not working.

Did you give your new jetpack the same wifi network name?  If so, forget the network on the non-working computer and try again.  Also make sure the non-working computer has the latest atheros drivers.

Try running the Vista Connection Wizard:

Don’t worry about Charter, just follow the steps.

In Step 7, Step 1: the Connection Name is whatever your want to call it

In Step 7, Step 2: Check that box so any account on the computer has internet access

Yes, gave the new device the Ellipsis name. One of the diagnosis stated

the driver is up to date.
