I have owned the Ellips"is 7 for 18 months and have been plauged by "low memory in app space" message every time I try to update
an app and now almost daily as a random message. Neighter store personnel nore online tech support could help me.
Then today I read about an update to Android and that my tablet would haveto be shipped in to do the update. So I called tech support as requested and for 30 minutes I spoke to a tech who was clueless what I was talking about and elevated my call. The next tech figured it out and then took15 minutes to figure out how to send me a shipping box. Finally he said he could not complete the order because it was out of warranty!! what that has to do with software update I don't know but he said the MFR. would not do the service if out of warranty. I Said VERIZON is the MFR!!! He spouted some Chineese name and said they made it an it was going to be shipped to them. I said well I guess I'll keep it until my 24 months is up and then [removal required by the Verizon Wireless Terms of Service] it.
Great product Verizon!!!!!!

Verizon put their name on the product. Regardless who built it, Verizon needs to stand behind the product which in this case they did not. I am still required to pay for the tablet under cantract but Verizon is not required to provide upgrade service?? Does this sound fair?

Just because someone sells something with their name on it does not mean its their problem but you keep thinking that way, it won't get you far.

carol_vzw, I just off the phone with Verizon, they said my 3! devices do not qualify under warranty, because it has to be within the 365 days. My reply was, Verizon knew about this and knows who has them on their account, and should have sent some type of notice so it could be fixed. Now I have 3 Ellipsis 7 tablets that really are worthless!

Well hopefully one day my tablet model will get the upgrade to kitkat. Any ideas when model number MV7A_31D49_422A will get the kitkat update? Hopefully not when my warranty runs out.

Hi Waimon,
Your device should be able to pull the update over the air. Would you please ensure your Ellipsis 7 has a 4G connection (you may want to turn off Wi-Fi) and check for a new software update by navigating to Settings > About Tablet > Software Updates.
Please report back if you experience any issues. The current software for your Ellipsis 7 is MV7A_41D37.
