Ellipsis 8 Home Screen Folders Disappear

I have had my tablet less than a week. I created shortcut folders at the bottom of my homescreen with my most used apps. Twice now they have completely disappeared. The first time I recreated them and the next day there were two sets of folders. How can I resolve this issue?
