I just got my new tablet and it won't maintain\establish Wi-Fi connection. The result is I can't play any games that require a consistent internet connection. Any thoughts?

Being able to count on your device is always crucial. We want to make sure you can use it for everything you need to. What happens when you try to connect to the wi-fi? How long does it take before it disconnects?

The tablet goes through the normal motions of connecting and then does not
secure the connection or it will connect for a few minutes and then not
work. For example I'll be at panera and can see and set up the WiFi but
cannot use the internet and secure the final connection.

My Dad ahs the Ellipsis 8 and was having a similar issue where his WiFi would drop after a few minutes. We went through and removed the connections and then turned off Wifi, restarting the device, and then re-enable wifi and had to retype the passwords but it seemed to fix the issue and I haven't heard about him having other issues since. Not sure if you've tried that but it might help!
