My hubs ellipsis is doing the same. Tried safe mode bit same problem. He says he hasn't installed apps nor visited any questionable sites. Have tried everything except factory reset but it seems that didn't work for the OP so just hoping for better info soon.

LarsWolfshield, I can't live without my tablet, so let's make sure your husband doesn't have to. How long has this been happening? Were there any recent changes to the tablet, like a software update?

We ended up trying a factory reset and it seems to be fixed for now. Thanks
