Excel files on elipsis 8

Elipsis 8 will not let me into my excel files keeps saying they are "read only files" have not had his msg before

We want you to get the most out of your Ellipsis tablet armystrong15. Let's work together to make that a reality. Are the Excel files saved as "read-only". Have you tried to open other Excel files and had the same issue? When did the issue originally start?
