Settings > Application Manager > scroll over to All > scroll down to the app you want to remove, then tap it > tap Uninstall.
If it's an app that can't be uninstalled, you'll see a button labeled Uninstall Updates or Disable rather than Uninstall. Tap Uninstall Updates and it should change to Disable. If you aren't using the app, you can disable it.
