web shortcuts. Since the software on my ellipses 7 was updated I lost all my website shortcuts and cannot place new ones on home page. All the usual methods involving chrome and/or using widgets don't work. Verizon tech support not at all helpful. They are stumped. Any suggestions?

Here is the issue . The tablet works perfectly in every respect except that
a shortcut to a favorite web page does not get placed on the homescreen.
I use the CHROME BROWSER which was on the tablet. I was, at the beginning
able to create shortcuts, by bookmarking the page and using a bookmark
widget. There is also an option on chrome saying "add to home screen" this
does not work at all and never did. All this changed when I was told to
update. I lost ll my widget bookmarks and any widget bookmarks I create are
lost after the tablet is shut down. In summary on the chrome browser *add
to home screen does not work* and *widget bookmarks can be created but
disappear after the tablet is closed down. * The same issue is found using
the DOLPHIN BROWSER.This took place after a software update from you to Kit
Kat.
The tablet states that my software is up to date. It is version
MV7B_411D37-442. The tablet HW version is D3A
Android version 4.42
Let me hear from you.
By the way the tablet was returned twice without any change by you. Very
frustrating. I am not able to open multiple web pages at a time I can have
running a combo of a web page and app.

Hi inewton
Thank you for your post. We also see that the "add to homescreen" option within Chrome is no longer placing a shortcut on the home screen. As a temporary workaround please use the 3x3 bookmark widget, which should remain in place when your device is powered off and on. Kindly report back if this is not the case. The issues you reported are being investigated.

Using a 3x3 widget does not solve the problem at all. The widget disappears
upon reboot. None of the problems exists on my ellipsis 8 even after a
software update. I already told this to a Verizon tech rep. I was sent a
box twice . I returned the tablet twice. Nothing was done. I received a
note saying the tablet was functioning correctly. Not true . You seem
reluctant to replace the tablet. Why? I am a good Verizon customer. I
tried an ellipses 7 at a Verizon dealer which worked perfectly. I've 2 Vz
phones and two tablets?. Do you want my business? May I hear from you soon?
