what is the Security Code that is requested when first using Message+ on the Ellipsis 8?

This Security Code is not my Verizon Password.  It is not the last 4 digits of my Social Security Number nor my Phone Number.  What is this Code that is being requested?

I believe that is a text message sent to the phone number you are planning to sync messages with on the tablet.  It' a security measure to be sure the phone number you are syncing with is actually your phone, and in your possession.
