I accidentally reported a friend's (contact) text as spam. I meant to hit the text above it, which was a Netflix spam text. His number is not on the blocked calls list; however, the entire text thread is gone. Is there any way to get that back? Also, will I be able to receive future text messages from this contact?

Not to worry, there are no charges associated with sending or receiving texts to 7726. As it is instantaneous there is no way to remove the spam report however as this was a one time accident it will not be investigated. https://www.verizon.com/support/knowledge-base-301493/

We're sorry to hear that you accidentally reported one of your friend's contact as a spam number, LadyJoNJ. However, the good news about this is that registering a spam complaint won't block the mobile number, as that will need to be blocked manually. To be sure, what is the make and model of your device, and what texting app was being used when this occurred?

Hello,
Thank you for writing back.
My phone is a Motorola One 5G UW.
I use the Message+ App by Verizon.
I just don't want my friend to get in trouble for something he didn't do.
Thanks,
Joanne
