My Pixel 2xl and my wife's Pixel 3 both started replacing apostrophes with &apos while using message+. Sometimes it will duplicate the message immediately afterwards showing it correctly. Anyone else having this issue or know how to fix it?

Same issue here. Seems like it happens sometimes but not others. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app with no luck.

Devinj330,
Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention. As an avid texter, I can understand being confused with seeing the double messages and extra characters. We want to gather all the information we can to find out what is causing this to happen. Do you happen to recall any software updates happening around the time the issues began on your phone? Can you share your current software version on your phone?

Ughh. Its really annoying... Its present on my Samsung note 9, so looking at all of y'alls responses, it's definitely a software issue and not a hardware or settings issue.

Thanks for the details Krazykay999. Just to clarify this is happening with Message+ is that right? Have you tried force stopping the app? You can find out how here: https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-50022/ After this, please restart the phone. please

I can see how this issue can lead to a rather confusing conversation, LSims1. I would like to help find a solution. Is this happening in multiple applications such as in messaging, e-mail, and browsing the Internet or a single application? Is everything up to date on your device? When did you first notice an issue? ChrisM_VZW

I would love to save you a phone call, Gcelle. No one likes duplicate messages including myself. What messaging application are you using? Does this happen if you type (apostrophes) an email too? Have you restarted your phone(s)? AmberF_VZW

This is definitely unusual, we'll be glad to help out. When did this problem start? Have you updated your device recently?

The problem began Wednesday, April 1st. It also happened Thursday, but I haven't experienced it since then. I saw it on my galaxy s5. No recent updates on my phone. I'm guessing a network glitch?
