As of saturday, I have a large warning taking up 95% of my home text screen.
It says message plus will be discontinued 11/7.
It will not go away. I can only view one message .
I do not plan on using anymore google products and I hate google messenger.
Why am I being forced into a 3rd party inferior app? I don't need rich chat text. I want my phone to work as it did.

You can search the Play Store for other compatible texting apps.
Why is Verizon discontinuing Message+?
The message space is rapidly changing and we want you to have the best messaging experience:
- Rich Communications Service (RCS) provides a more interactive and modern messaging experience in Google Messages.
- Google Messages is now preloaded on all Verizon Android devices.
- Starting with iOS 18, iPhone users also can communicate using RCS.

You claim you would like me to have the "best messaging experience." However, my text screen is covered with a large rectangle, making my experience difficult. Why is no one else having the same issue? My only solution is to go with a different carrier. After a decade with Verizon, I have no choice. T-mobile here I come.

3rd party apps are not a solution. They are inferior, have ads, do not store photos or video etc. What am I paying verizon for if I have to use a 3rd party app that can be run from wi-fi?
