i jus want to tlk bout the charge verizon has added to the texting phones (not good w/the lingo), but i went to add my son to my plan. i have the alias2 and love the phone, he wanted to get the same. but i had to add the 9.99 charge to it for web nd stuff. i DO NOT use the web or allow charges to get ACCIDENTLY added to my phone, i have them blocked on all my phones. but now i HAVE to have it on a phone tht i wanted to buy. i am very upset w/this. I LOVE VERIZON!!! i have had verizon for a long time. awhile back i swiched to a different company....and went through alot of them....and i am back. due to the others service and prices. but i feel we should have a choice of phones and services, mayb not for the blackberry and the phones like tht, but a little ol alias phone..i would really like for this to b changed back. where should i begin? ive told the ppl in the stores, and made a call to service. i just feel we should have a choice in it!!! thanks for reading my gripe..lol

As of January 2010 3g phones now require the $9.99 monthly data plan so you can either pick a simple phone or find another carrier. Lots of complaints about this so you are not the only one, search the boards and you will see. Mary
Dude, many people have complained about thiz. Old newz. We know ya hate it, but we've already had many postz about it. I have a Palm Pre Plus, and love the unlimited data. I couldn't live without it. You, I guess, don't even like 25MB of data, but do we need to hear from ANOTHER person who hatez data packz? No. So, I'm sorry you don't like it and there iz NO way to get around it as off now. BTW, I don't think the alias should have a data pack either, because web browsing isn't so great on it. But, itz not my decision and don't think we should post about it anymore. I personally think that mandatory data packs should be chosen by the phone, not the phones category (Ex. the Kin should NOT have a 30$ data pack). But, once again, not my decision. Do we really need to hear from another person who likes required data packages with certain phones? No, probably not...
