Cant Send/Receive Pictures or Videos & Cant access Get It Now..Everything else works.

Hi,

I cant receive  pictures or videos or access Get it Now. When I receive a picture, it asks me to download and when I choose "yes". It fails everytime and when I try to send them it says "message delivery failed". When I try to access Get it now programs such as VZW tones, I get network temporarily down. Every time. I went thru a long process with a technician on the phone only to be told that they couldnt duplicate the problem and everything was fine on their end and for me to go to my local Verizon store. I went there and after a long process with the technician trying to fix it, he told me that he was sorry, that he did everything he could do and still couldnt figure out the problem. He said it could be an A-key problem and that  I was out of warranty and their was nothing he could do. I can send texts & make phone calls, I just cant get those features to work. They worked on my old phone (Chocolate) fine but once I got this phone (LG Env) I havent been able to use these features (and they worked fine with the previous owner of the phone). Anyone have any ideas on what the problem is, how to fix it, or do I need to just live with it? Thanks!

That really sucks. But if the technicians can't figure it out i have no idea what the problem could be. Its probably a defect in the phone, which means you will have to get a new one. But since your warranty is up you will have to obtain it a different way.

What features do you have?  Do you have a block added to avoid accidently accessing data after possible megabyte charges?  Also, try and switch to a different phone if you have one via VZW.com or *228 Option 3 while the phone you are wanting to activate is turned off.

Then test the feature, after this, switch back to your current phone using the same process.  This will clear up any A-Key issue.

There could be a National Access Block on your line. The National Access Block cuts all data from reaching your phone. The Pictures and Videos use the Data Network, so that could be the reason why you are not able to go onto Get It Now and do picture and video messaging.You can either call Customer Service (if your name is on the account) and see if it's on there or you can check on your online account and look at the features under my phone and then my plan and see if there is a National Access Block. Only the person who the account is under can remove that block online. If that is the problem and the block is removed. You may have to turn your phone on and then back on for it to take effect.
