Contact number questions...

Hello!

Enjoy using VZW Messages.  Two questions...

(1)  lately, some of my contacts are coming up with the "@vzwpix" when I enter their numbers. It only shows this entry and not the mobile number.  This just started a few days ago.  I know how the @vzwpix extension works, but it's odd because it's showing in the contact's information now as an email address for their cell - even thought I didn't add it.

(2)  when composing a text, is it possible to display the contacts with only their mobile number showing?  I'd rather not see the email / home number contacts.

DobieG, I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying the Verizon Message application. I want to make sure that we get all of your concerns addressed ASAP. How long have you noticed that "Vzwpix" is coming up as a contact? Has there been any changes to your device recently (new software update)? Is the Verizon Message Application up to date with the latest version?

The issue appeared less than a week ago.

No software update to phone.

Using most current VZW Messages app.

This issue appeared at the same time as the other issue appeared...when I

enter a contact by name or number, it shows their home number, email,

mobile number and @vzwpix address. IMHO, it should only show mobile

number, as this is a texting/pic messaging app.

Per your instructions, I cleared individual app cache and cleared all

cached data. Problem still exists.

AFAIK, nothing has changed. It's not a deal-breaker - I still think VZW is

the best messaging app! Please just pass on to your dev team that,

since this is a messaging app, users should have the option of filtering

out just the mobile numbers (rather than including email, home phone,

vzwpix, etc.).

As far as the @vzwpix.com being automatically added and, even worse,

replacing the mobile number - I'm at a loss. Perhaps it was the latest

update that caused this.

This is Alie. I support the dev team.  They are aware of the email address bug and are working on the fix. The next update, due next week, will include the fix.
