DELETED ACCOUNT FROM PIXPLACE

Is there any way or perhaps by subpoena, to retrieve pictures from a PixPlace account that has been deactivated/deleted?

I've had PixPlace unlimited storage for years with Verizon Wireless and last month my boss and I transferred my phone number to his business account with Verizon wireless, of which I am also an authorized user.  I was with him in the store and was told that everything would transfer over - no problems.  However, when I went to access my pictures which I have had on Verizon's servers FOR YEARS (since 2003) I was told that the account did not exist.  When I contacted Verizon customer service I was told that my pictures which I have had for years had been DELETED upon the transfer of my phone number to my boss' business account.

I cannot understand with the technology and the backup systems that we have in this day and age that there is not a backup server somewhere that would have my pictures.  If I were a suspected terrorist or child pornographer I'm sure the FBI or Homeland Security would be able to locate them.

PLEASE, PLEASE IS THERE ANYONE THAT CAN HELP ME WITH THIS, I AM SO DISTRAUGHT ABOUT THE LOSS OF MY PICTURES, I CANNOT SLEEP WELL AND I AM JUST SICK TO MY STOMACH - THESE WERE YEARS OF PICTURES.

It is possible to get the pictures back with a subpoena yes. It would involve the police I believe and court too.

They're gone for good, sorry. You could spend hundreds/thousands of dollars to hire a lawyer who could file a motion for a subpoena. If the judge were to grant his motion, then VZW would be compelled to try to recover the data -- doubtful. It's up to you whether you want to spend the time and money.

Web storage is a great resource, but the lesson here is to always make backups of anything irreplaceable on media like CDs or DVDs, which themselves are not permanent. However, the more backups you have via different media, the safer the data is from loss.

I don't think it is even worth to spend that much money.
