Delayed Texts Are Still a Problem

My daughter informed me that she got many texts from me sent on August 6th, but delivered days later. I was texting to my family as a group text, and all but my daughter got their messages in a timely manner. This is especially concerning as I was reporting on status to my family from a hospital.

I got a message from a friend that she got 6 messages from me on August 24, 2020 which I sent to her about a year before she got them.

I clicked on the link to the "solution" for this problem but didn't find any solution to the problem there. I found more discussion of the problem though.

I feel for the techs on this. It's really hard to troubleshoot problems that occur seemingly randomly, and only happen for certain people. They need to detect a pattern and concoct an experiment to debug the problem.

A question for the Verizon people. What information is most helpful? Do you want who the message was from and who it was to? Do you want the location of the sender and of the recipient at the time the message was sent and received? Generically asking for "more information" might not get you what you want. Please ask for the specific information that you need.

Thanks, Kevin

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding this matter. It can be difficult to discern a problems core location when it is not a common issue, or something that is easily diagnosed. We would want to troubleshoot with you to get more information. The type of device would helpful, both the sender and recipient. Additionally, does this only occur with group messages, or are the messages that are delayed images or videos? Do you notice this happening in a single location more often than not? This type of information could be very helpful, and we would want to get as much as possible beyond this as well. To better troubleshoot this matter, we would ask that you leave a Private Note, so we may access the account with you. If you are unable to do so, you can also reach us at 1-800-922-0204, or online @VZWSupport on Twitter or Facebook. - Robert
