Does Verizon monitor and censor text messages?

Recently, I used a term in a text message that could be misconstrued as inappropriate. It was not inappropriate. One month later the message was deleted from (1) my text history and (2) the recipient's text history (also a Verizon Wireless user). No Content Filters are active. My question: does Verizon monitor and filter/censor/delete text messages?

Do you both have your phones set to automatically delete old messages?

I doubt it. If they were doing so, it would have been censored far sooner.

As Tikibar has stated, you should check your settings to confirm you are not deleting your older texts.

Thanks for the quick replies. No, the automatic delete setting is off. FYI, my phone still has text message history for the same person for one month prior to the subject deletion.

Verizon doesn't give 2 nickles what you text. They do not have the time nor the inclination to monitor and censor your texts even if they could and they can't.
