Email to sms doesn't always reach recipient

When sending sms via email (number@vtext.com) the same recipient sometimes will receive it and sometimes will not.

Any idea why that would happen?

Is there such a thing as going to "spam" like it would in an email? If yes, how can I see why that would happen and how can I prevent it?

Or, is there a way they can white list the email address it comes from?

The messages that don't go through may be too long - try sending it to number@vzwpix.com - that will allow for longer messages and attachments, like photos, emojis, etc.

Thanks for that idea. I tried testing it and sent a text using @vzwpix.com to someone, but it bounced back.

Do all verizon users have the ability to receive a text to @vzwpix.com?

I just sent myself two test texts from my email, to vtext.com and vzwpix.com; both came through.  All Verizon customers should have the ability to receive texts at those addresses.  Other carriers have different addresses to send to.  Use the full 10 digits of the phone number, and no leading "1".
