Recently, gifs in texts are not working either sending or receiving. Not all the time, but enough to very annoying. Samsung says it's an issue with Verizon as does Apple. What's going on?

If you're using Verizon's Messages+ app for texts, time to switch to another app because Messages+ is essentially dead at this point. The official complete shutdown is occurring in about 3 more weeks, but assorted features which used to work are already gone.

Was on chat with Verizon for roughly 2 hours and it looks like it's an iPhone to android bug through Verizon and not the phones...A MMS issue through Verizon.

I'm currently researching this as well, but can't seem to find any information! I haven't noticed any issue sending gifs, but I've had issues receiving them, but only from some of my contacts. I'm not sure if it's a Verizon issue, or a compatibility issue with the phone/service provider that is sending the gifs. My son has a similar phone and service through Verizon and is experiencing the same issue as well. So frustrating!

Looks like it is Verizon from what I've learned. Spent two hours in a chat with them and my phone is fine, it's an MMS issue with Verizon customers who have iPhones sending to androids.

Happy Saturday! Being on top of your service is important, especially if you are encountering MMS issues. Verizon is here to help.
When did the issue start? What recent changes have you made? Who else is experiencing this problem? Aside from the MMS, any other problems?

We want to make sure that your messages are working correctly, and we'll be glad to help out. When did this start? Is this happening with specific numbers? What is the problem with the GIF itself?

Iggie1, we'd be happy to help with any issues you're experiencing with texting. What texting app are you using on your device? Also, what is the make and model of your phone? Does this happen when you're connected to Wi-Fi or Data?
