Our family recently bought a pair of GizmoWatch 3 devices for our 2 daughters, which they’ve really enjoyed Buddy 2 Buddy, but we really need options to customize other contact permission roles. Specifically we need an option to add trusted Contacts with the ability to make basic calls and send texts. The only way now to enable texting between a GizmoWatch and non-Gizmo device is assigning the contact as a Caretaker, which makes no sense if they’re not family since this allows the contact to view locations for the GizmoWatch, delete the device from the app, and manage other contacts. You can see why this just won’t work for contacts our kids want to call or text but we as parents don’t want to give invasive and broad access to our kids’ devices. Verizon and GizmoHub dev team, please create a new role or enable custom options for trusted Contacts that again simply enable calling and texting, but no other administrative functions or access over the devices or app itself. Not sure why this has been so difficult to arrange but it would make this device and app a major competitor to other smart watch devices for kids on the market.
I am having the same issue. I want my kids to be able to call and text their friends without giving their parents access to where they are. This is not something I am comfortable with.
