I am running Verizon Message+, v.6.4.39 on a recently purchased Moto Z Droid, and using the Verizon network. Today, I sent a group message. I got replies from these people that my number showed up as a completely odd number (incorrect area code and phone number). Additionally, all other contacts in the message to the recipients only showed up as numbers, not as the contact names. The people that had the problem are on the Verizon network, using an iPhone, and NOT using Message+. To me, this still does not explain why my number would show up to them as completely incorrect. Can Verizon please advise the status of this issue?
I know what you mean about the number showing up in a group, rather than your contact name, and I also know how upsetting it is. In order to help narrow things down, we need to ask some questions. When you text the individuals having the issue one at a time, not in the group, does your contact information come up accurately? If one of the iPhone users starts the thread using the same group, does the same thing happen?

Thanks for getting back to me. YES, when I INDIVIDUALLY text one-to-one
(not in a group text) with any of the individuals, my number and contact
name comes through correctly. It was only when I added these individuals
to a group text that the problem occurred. As far as if the problem occurs
when one of the iPhone users starts the thread with the same group, I can
not answer that as it would require me to contact one of those individuals
and ask them to create a group chat just for the purpose of trying to help
solve this problem. I would feel burdensome to have to ask these people to
do that, sorry. I do understand that it would help you to try to solve the
problem, but I would prefer to not have to bother others with a problem
that is coming from my service.

I appreciate the added info TLAP54. I know how important it is to make sure your number appears correctly when sending a group text.
Have you tried starting a new group text to see if this happens again? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Verizon Message Plus app?
