I am with verizon... the phone i have is the lg Cosmos

ive heard rumors that i would have to pay an extra 30$ a month for a smartphone because it comes with internet

IS THAT TRUE???

WHat if i buy the phone from ebay WILL IT STILL APPLY IF I TAKE TO VERIZON TO SWITCH from my phone to a smartphone???

IF ITS TRUE WILL IT APPLY IF I DONT HAVE INTERNET ON MY PLAN???

Any smartphone or BB, no matter where it is purchased requires a data plan of $29.99/month to be added to your account if you want to activate it.

Unless you get a BB that is like 4 years old it shouldnt require it then.

all blackberries require the data package, but there are some old smartphones that don't require it. Basically winmo phones from before 2008 i think? Like the xv6700,xv6800,xv6900, schi760, motoq, and some others i can't think of.
