HELP - my Phone won't Receive Text from Certain People

BIG problem... 

My iphone 4 will not receive Text from certain people.

The specific user that is trying to text me can receive my text, but I do no receive theirs when they reply. They are also using verizon.

I have Rebooted my phone, upgraded it, and make it "like new" without backing it up with the information from my computer. Please help me!!!

I have been to the Apple Store twice and the verizon store and no one can help me.
