Apparently the Verizon Galaxy S5 is different than non Verizon version. Can't find any way to block unwanted texts.

Receiving unwanted calls or texts would certainly be bothersome and we definitely have options to help. If these are coming from mobile numbers we do have a Call & Messaging block that will allow you to block up to 5 numbers at no charge.
