I need to know if my tablet makes phone calls with a SIM card in, it can send texts but I cannot find the calling option.

The tablet itself cannot make phone calls, but if you have Verizon Messages+ installed and active on your phone and tablet, you can activate calling via Messages+. In conversation view, tap the thee bars on the top left of the screen, and tap Calling on the menu to turn it on.
