How to manage an international phone plan

After hours and hours of trying to figure out which plan was right for my family, I added international plans to my two phones and when I returned I cancelled both. I thought I was cancelling the 30 day plan, not cutting off the plan (there's no pro-ration option so it doesn' t make sense to cancel early). I just didn't want it to renew.  Because I inadvertently cancelled the plan the other person was still overseas so I was charged per-minute international rates.

How can I avoid this expensive problem in the future? How do you cancel the international plan without cutting it off too soon? Do you have a web page that gives clear instructions on which plans to order and how to manage them? I was so careful to ensure we had international coverage throughout our travels.

Thanks for your advice.

Good morning! We understand the importance of managing your International Plan and knowing your options. I have good news for you, we do have answers to the most frequent questions available. Also, regarding your monthly plan, it is automatically removed after 30 days, unless you select recurring charges. Please feel free to save the following link for future reference: https://www.verizon.com/support/international-travel-faqs/

I can also help and add the International plan for your line traveling a little longer. To better assist, I'll be sending you a Private Note, please reply to it, so we can get started.
