I can't receive SMS messages sent to vtext.com unless I send a text to that smtp address and reply.

If I send a message to ###########@vtext.com It doesn't ever arrive at my phone. However, if I send a text to [email address removed per the Verizon Terms of Service] for example and reply back it does work. I use this to get notifications of issues at work. if I can't get this to work I'll be forced to switch carriers.

Vtext is no longer supported. The last I'd read about it, a CS rep said the filters are gradually being tightened to where it will eventually not work at all. If you have a business account, there's something new called EMAG, but I don't know how that works/compares.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

We are having the same problem. Our email server that sounds out alerts for our IT operations is blocked. What is the procedure for blocklist removal?
