International Texts

I have a Verizon phone but am currently visiting family in Indonesia for only 3 weeks. I have been texting friends in the U.S. with a U.S. number, am I being charged for international texts, even though we both have US numbers?

Hi kimirabal,

International Text rates do apply if you are physically outside of the US because your are roaming, despite texting a US based number. Here is more information on our International Services.  Please let me know if you have any additional concerns. I hope you have a safe trip!
