I know the stock message application will often show a character counter as you reach 160 characters including spaces. I don't know if the Verizon Messages+ application does the same thing.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

EPen, I know that sometimes I like to keep track of how many messages I send out. If I can keep a text message within one text, and not multiple messages; I always try and do so. With Verizon Messages+, the counter is not readily visible, nor does it appear to be a configurable option. However, it is a feature that still exists, and is on all the time. The difference is that it will only inform you that you are within the 160 character limit once it reaches 150 characters. Then, a small icon will appear on the upper right hand side of your text message, informing you that you have 10 characters left.

If you use emojis, or smart emojis, they will use up extra characters from your 160 allotment, and once you exceed 160, it will convert to an MMS message automatically.

Hope this helps out! Let us know if you have any additional questions!
