I use the Verizon Messages app and really like it. I use it because it allows me to send messages to multiple users from my Google Contacts. I send group texts and like the easy flexibility to send either an SMS or MMS message by clicking the option at the top of the screen.
Here is the issue. Most of my contacts have multiple phone numbers (mobile, home, work). When I send a message and enter each contact individually, I can see each separate number. But when I send to a group from my contacts, I see all the users, all the numbers have a (c) after them so I can't tell if the number is a mobile, work or home number.
Here is what I do. I open a new text and in the TO: field I type the name of the group I need to send the text to. The group shows in the list and I click to open it. This is where I select which members of the group I want to send to but this is where every number shows as a (c).
Any ideas?

It's essential to have the best experience possible using the apps we rely on daily, GAASPUL. Verizon Messages is a useful messaging app to use with Android, that has many benefits. I am happy to help address your concerns regarding the app.
Just to ensure we are on the same page, I have a couple of details I would like to confirm. Are you experiencing any trouble using the application or sending or receiving messages? What are you trying to do/accomplish in terms of addressing a group message?

Thanks for the reply.
Love the app. I send and receive messages just fine. All the features work great.
I have all my contacts in groups within Google, as I work with a variety of individuals. I don't want to have to remember EVERY person in a group that I may be texting / emailing. As I stated in my original post most of my contacts have multiple phone numbers (mobile, home, work).
Say I send a message to Jim and Emily. When I send a text message, I open a new message and enter each contact individually, I can see each separate number. There I can select their Mobile numbers. But if I want to send to a group of people, (i.e., Co-workers), I open a new text and in the TO: field I type the name of the group I need to send the text to. The group shows in the list and I select that group name.
A box opens with the list of members of that group and if a user has more than one phone number in my address book, there are multiple entries for that person and every number shows with a (c) after it, so I am not able to tell which number is Mobile, Home or Work.
If I had a way to attach a screenshot I would show what it looks like. I believe it's a bug in the app.
Hope this helps.

I appreciate the time you took to clear up the details, GAASPUL. I want to make sure we get this taken care of for you once and for all. What is the make and model of your phone? Have you gone into the app store to make sure the messaging app is up to date? If not please go in and get the app updated. Before you get the app updated I would also like for you to delete the app, power off the phone, turn it back on in about two minutes, then download the app again. Let me know how this works. I look forward to hearing back from you.

I have the LG V30. It is updated, re-installed...did all the troubleshooting stuff before I ever posted this. I'm not the only one with the issue. My son and wife have the Galaxy S9 and it's an issue on their phones as well.
I think this is more of a developer rather than a tech support issue.

Thank you for all your efforts, GAASPUL. Since you are still experiencing issues with the app, we recommend reaching out to the developers for more details and assistance. When you go to the Play Store, select Menu, My apps & games, Installed, click on Verizon Messages and scroll to the bottom. Click on Send email. This will put you in touch with the app developers.
