Issue with Messenger +

I have a Samsung galaxy note 8 using Messenger +, I created a group for my Church & one for my running group  and everyone says that they get a message from [removed] that shows up on their end not my phone number.  This IS not good, and they see numbers from responses/other texts not names even though they have the other people listed in their contacts.  They are IPhone & android users but may or may not be on Verizon network.   This message app should not be offered if it isn't going to work properly for people outside of the Verizon network it should not be offered. Please tell me how this can be fixed.
