Why has Verizon not sent out a notification about the issues with the message+ update?

It appears they are attempting to correct the issues that have been posted on the forum when you view the What's New section in the latest update (v.6.4.4 released last night). So far, the posts I've seen are varied, unfortunately ... some users say their issues are resolved with this latest update and others aren't.
