Lost caller id for calls and texts

I just got the S24 ultra. The Verizon tech transferred my data from the old phone and all the apps transferred but now I only get numbers (no names) on incoming calls and Message+ version 9.4.9. I cleared the cache and data, the apps have permission and I reset the mobile settings but nothing worked. Help!

Congratulations on your new phone! We want to make sure you're able to get your contacts showing on your calls and texts. Just to be sure, are you able to see your contacts if you go into your phone app?

Yes I could see the names in the phone app, which was why I couldn't figure out the problem. Since I posted my question I tried  different solutions and nothing worked so I tried deleting and reentered my contacts. What a pain but it worked  but if you have another solution in case  it were to happen again , I'd appreciate it! Thanks for responding.

Thank you for keeping us posted, Dfranzi23! Just to clarify, are all your incoming calls and texts now showing the actual contact information? Do you know how the data was transferred from your old phone to your new device (Verizon Cloud, Google, etc.)?

Yes, the contact information is shows. The Verizon tech did the data transfer so I'm not sure how it was done.

We're glad you were able to fix it by re-entering your contacts. It definitely soudnds like a paint, and if it happens again, please let us know. We'd love to help you troubleshoot the problem.

Thanks! What's a "paint"?
