Message + App

When is this app going to update? I am showing messaged that have been read, showing as unread. I am seeing Boxes with exes in them, from people who also use the app. Some people have the option to like a message, almost like you can do with Facebook. Is this something that will be available to all Message + users? And why are profiles public?
