I can send and receive texts from my android phone using message+. I installed message+ on my windows 10 laptop. I can send messages from the laptop and they are received by the person I sent them to, but do not sync to my phone. Also messages sent on my phone do not show up on my laptop. I removed message+ and reinstalled it but the problem persists.

Yes, I have uninstalled and installed Verizon Message+ over 10 times in the hopes it would solve the problem. It did not.
I also rebooted the computer several times, especially after uninstalling Message+, and before reinstalling.
I'm at my wits end.

I am having the same problem. Can send / receive on Android phone. Can send / received on Asus Android tablet - and syncs with phone. On Windows 10 it does not sync. I can send a text to myself and it shows up on my phone as outgoing but the incoming does not work. VZ, please help.
And I have tried removing and reinstalling the program and no luck still.

Thank you all for sharing your findings with us. We want to make sure you can continue to use the Message + app.
We would like to further investigate but we need additional information. Please confirm the following:
•Message+ just released a new version of the app (6.9.0). Verify the app is up to date.
• Please download the Message+ application on the desktop and see if the behavior persists.
•Please clear the cookies on the internet browser you are utilizing.
•Does the behavior persist with other computers or other internet browsers?

– The message+ release (6.9.0) that you are referring to is for android. The problem we are experiencing is with the Windows 10 App (2.0.2.0)
– we are using the desktop app, and it is not working
– I cleared my cookies, and it did not affect anything
– I'm experiencing the same problems on my desktop and laptop, both at home and at work
To be clear, the biggest issue at hand is the Windows 10 app (2.0.2.0). Like I mentioned earlier in the thread, I called Verizon tech support and was pretty amazed to find out that the technician didn't even know the desktop app exists.
The iPhone app and web-based app have their own issues

Well, imagine that.
Only took a month to get their act together and acknowledge "Windows Desktop application is not compatible with Windows 10 computers".
Although the same 2 versions (1.0.17.0 on Windows 7 and 6.8.5 on Windows 10) had been working for many years. Mine both synced dependably up to July 19, 2019.
It would have been helpful if @vzw_customer_support had acknowledged this earlier and saved us mere Members (paying customers!) the grief of messing around trying to install, uninstall, Disconnect, etc.!
Wasting all our time (we are not getting paid!) troubleshooting, when someone at Verizon knew about the problem, doesn't show much respect for their paying customers.
Then again, what current companies actually demonstrate that they DO value their customers?
Their source of income?
Disappointed, John.

@PamD_VZW,
The "Windows Desktop application" is still being offered in the Microsoft Store.
It has NOT been "temporarily removed to prevent syncing issues".
Perhaps you meant "the Verizon messaging servers were blocked from sending SMS text down to any Windows client" at some (secret, unannounced) date?
We've all known about your web-based "Verizon Messages" option. Very poor replacement for the Message+ app.
We'll all look forward to the "Message+ team" developing a "resolution".

And, I might add, a pain in the butt to use, and, amazingly, the last message from Verizon proper, which shows on my phone, dfoesn't show on the web based spot, but, to their credit, all my other messages are showing up there.
This is the most messed up support fiasco I have been involved with...

Verizon is currently experiencing a wireless network issue with the Message+ desktop app. Our technicians are aware of this issue and are working to resolve it quickly. Thank you for your patience during this time.

@vzw_customer_support, @PamD_VZW I opened the https://web.vma.vzw.com website for access to Verizon Messaging and it STILL DOES NOT SYNC my messages to my contact using a Galaxy Core Prime phone on MagicJack/Ymax mobile. Their messages to me are sync'ed fine but mine NOT. Both directions are sync'ed on my Droid Turbo 2 on the VZW account. Also, my messages to an iPhone on VZW were NOT sync'ed before on the desktop app and they ARE STILL NOT SYNC'ed on the web site access. SAME ISSUE ON YOUR WORKAROUND AS THE 'INCOMPATIBLE DESKTOP APP' FOR ME.

Another ANNOYING 'feature' of the web site messaging access is the web site TIMEOUT. After a few minutes of inactivity (same as general vzw.com web access) you are LOGGED OUT and have to log back in to stay connected to messaging. Not helpful when monitoring for incoming messages.
If anyone has any solution to this TIMEOUT, let me know. I use multiple browsers with the same issue.

Another issue I have found is that hitting "enter" to send the text does not work 100% of the time, especially at the beginning of a session (which is almost always, thanks to the timeout issue). Click SEND

Thank you Verizon Team for finally providing all of us with an explaination to the broken desktop app and the suggestion of the temporary work around via the website app.
As has been reported by many of us using the website app work around, the website "TIMEOUT" is an issue. I often become aware that it has timed out when I hear the notification on my cell phone but not the computer because I keep a tab pinned but not visible in my brower. How hard would it be to extend the "TIME OUT" time for the just the website app or maybe even code some options in that would allow the user the ability to select a specific amout of time to stay logged in, e.g. 8 hours for a work day, or "until I log out", on the log in page, at least until your team is able to fix the desktop app. I am not a coder, so I don't have any idea how hard it would be to do what I have suggested. It is just thought that might calm the crowd so you can focus on fixing something that so many of us have come to depend DAILY. We really need and want this to work again.
Even though so many are frustrated, I am sure everyone is grateful to learn that it is being worked on and we all will be even more grateful when it is restored and working like it did before mid July.

Do not hold your breath for a solution. Here is a snippet of the email sent to me from customer support:
The Message+ Verizon Messages - Windows Desktop application is not compatible with Windows 10 computers. The Windows messaging client for Verizon messages is being temporarily removed to prevent syncing issues and customers should be directed to utilize the messaging web client as a windows alternative by following the steps listed on the my Verizon website- create and send a text: https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-54302/
The Message+ team is aware is working on a resolution.
