On my personal home PC, the Windows PC app stopped working about 3 weeks ago. VZ Support's last effort is to contact Microsoft of my Internet provider. Problem: All worked fine across PC, iPhone and Android tablet until PC app (not web based text) stopped working. Can send a text from PC, but cannot receive any. Iphone and tablet still work fine. Have accessed internet via VZ hotspot on iPhone so internet is not the problem. Have uninstalled Windows/MS updates back to Dec 2018 and that hasn't helped. Have a trouble ticket open [removed] since 2/11, but VZ tech support seems to be at a loss also. Any wizards out there have a fix or suggestion for this? Have disabled Norton also, reset router, uninstalled from all devises and started from scratch, nothing works...

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Message+ Windows app about 30 times over the last month waiting **bleep** either. I don't get the feeling that anyone at Verizon is working on this problem, or the numerous other similar and possibly related problems with Integrated Messaging.

Thank you for your patience and completing the changes on your computer. One other troubleshooting step that we can attempt while we wait for the ticket is to remove and reinstall the Messages+ Application. The steps to reinstall are here below, http://spr.ly/6606EVMBO

I just reported another instance of I think the same problem here.
I have not yet tried to reinstall the app using the instructions linked to here. I will do so and report back.

After signing up for Cloud, syncing my contacts to Cloud successfully from my Note 9, and reinstalling Verizon Messages app on Windows 10, I still see numbers only and no names in the app. Please advise.

As someone who also uses the Verizon Cloud with a large number of contacts, I completely understand how important being able to see the contact names can be. We realize that your numbers have synced, but have you tried importing your contacts. Here are the steps:
Here is more general information regarding the Verizon Cloud:
There are times where the information will take some time to fully appear when syncing. Have the contact names appeared yet?

It appears you did not read my linked post. I do not need to import contacts in Verizon Cloud because they synced perfectly from my Verizon Note 9 to the Cloud (via the Cloud app on the Note 9). I can see all of my contacts in the Verizon Cloud Contacts page on verizonwireless.com.
As I stated the problem is with the Windows Verizon Messages application, which does not appear able to sync with the Cloud to receive my Contacts. (and yes, the problem persists even now, several days past the time when I initially synced my contacts to Verizon Cloud and then uninstalled and reinstalled Verizon Messages app on Windows.)
Please, in your next response, dear VZW customer service person, acknowledge that you understand what the problem is. (Read the last paragraph again.)
I and many others on these forums would like either some resolution to this problem, or acknowledgement that it will not be fixed. At least then we can stop wasting our time unnecessarily.

We always want you to have your apps functioning as expected. At this time, the only way to report this issue with the Windows App is as indicated below:
- Open the Message+ app.
- Click Menu > Settings > Account.
- Report a bug.
Alternatively, you can submit the feedback by visiting one of the following Apps and selecting the option to email the developer:
- App page on the Play Store for Android devices
- App Store for iOS devices

I just posted elesewhere and came across this thread.
My Desktop App with NOT reveive texts but WILL send.
I have five devices (work desptop, home desktop, laptop, 2 tablets) and teh same issue spontaneously happend on all devices. It started yesterday morning as teh last text received was around 6am Arizona time.
SInce yesterday there are no messages received, but I can send just fine.
Right now, I am sitting with my phone in one hand and reading the messages and then typing the response in my computer. The messages sent by my computer are seen on my phone. The recipient receives the message. Messages from my desktop show up on my phone too. Messages sent by my phone do NOT show up on the desktop.

Stopped working on the Windows Desktop a few weeks ago. Reset, reinstall etc does not help. It does not receive or update. The Windows desktop app does not work. Period.
Messaging still works on Droid and iPad.
I assume it is a Windows update incompatibility that is the issue. It would be nice if Verizon Tech Support did not wiseguy our chain with superfluous requests for device and version info. It is clearly widespread. It is clearly the Windows version of the app at issue. Why not just admit it, say they're working on it and announce when they plan to roll out a fix and to do so ASAP since a lot of us rely on the app for work-related uses. I accept that stuff happens with software. I just don't like being given the run around.

Also, I really don't like the fact that I am an "Avid Returner II" which is a merit badge for not finding a solution to my issue and having to keep checking. It feels like I am being mocked, a prize for being a sucker.

I reinstalled the pc app and still can't get messages. This just started for me about a week ago. It's been working fine until now but I'm having the same kind of problem they report back in Feb '19. (It's Aug '19 now)

Are all app versions the same across your different devices? It must be the same to properly work. EricW_VZW

How about clarifying just what versions should be 'the same' on all the devices? Mine are all set for auto update and current as far as I know. NONE are the same or even close on different devices.
Droid Turbo 2: v6.8.8
iPad: v3.2.1
Win10 Desktop app: v2.0.2.0
Are you guys just throwing ideas at the wall to see if they stick? How about not even commenting if you haven't looked at the symptom yourself. Where is the Verizon Messaging Group? Can't someone escalate this to get some real constructive help?

My Win10 desktop running v2.0.2.0 and my Win10 laptop running v1.0.17.0 both send/receive text messages fine, from each other and from my Droid Turbo 2 (just updated to v6.9.0). It doesn't appear that the same version of desktop Message+ app needs to be running on Windows to work. The issues have been getting the messages sync'ed from the server doing the sync'ing to the integraged messaging connected desktop devices. The sync'ing is not consistent for users for unknown different scenarios or reasons.

Ok. Let's try this to get some movement on getting this issue resolved. Everybody experiencing this issue:
1. Call Customer Care: 800-922-0204
2. Ask for Tech Support
3. Ask them to open case/ticket for "Integrated Messaging Message+ sync issues on desktop app"
If enough of us call in and open cases/tickets maybe we'll hear something that is being done or at least identified as a 'known issue'.

Okay thank you for the information Tinker1454.
Please make sure the text app up is up to date. Are having issues with the just the Messages+ app syncing? Can you use a different app the will work?
