On my personal home PC, the Windows PC app stopped working about 3 weeks ago. VZ Support's last effort is to contact Microsoft of my Internet provider. Problem: All worked fine across PC, iPhone and Android tablet until PC app (not web based text) stopped working. Can send a text from PC, but cannot receive any. Iphone and tablet still work fine. Have accessed internet via VZ hotspot on iPhone so internet is not the problem. Have uninstalled Windows/MS updates back to Dec 2018 and that hasn't helped. Have a trouble ticket open [removed] since 2/11, but VZ tech support seems to be at a loss also. Any wizards out there have a fix or suggestion for this? Have disabled Norton also, reset router, uninstalled from all devises and started from scratch, nothing works...

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Message+ Windows app about 30 times over the last month waiting **bleep** either. I don't get the feeling that anyone at Verizon is working on this problem, or the numerous other similar and possibly related problems with Integrated Messaging.

We certainly understand your concern, and we assure you our intention is to help you in the best way possible to use the Message+ application. When was the last time you were able to send a text message via your PC? Is there a particular reason why you don't send them from your mobile device?

@rachelm_vzw, if you were reading the messages, you'd see that EVERYONE is saying they can SEND messages from the PC app -- it's receiving them that is broken.
As to why we want to use the Windows app -- I work at a desk and need to respond to hundreds of texts each day. Yeah, busy. I prefer to do that from my Window app so I can more quickly type the messages, and cut and paste parts of text threads to other locations. But, in the end, why does it matter why we want to use the app? You supply it (thanks, it used to be GREAT!), and you need to address why everyone is suddenly not able to receive with it.
Thanks!

For those using Windows and Android, I am starting to use the Microsoft Your Phone app. First blush is very good.

Downloaded Your Messages (MS). Immediately synced my messages. No more VZ Support!

Thanks for the tip. The MS phone companion has a few drawbacks the VZ messages had. No extra phone notification/app running in background. Your text read on your laptop don't get marked as read on your phone. The MS version does allow you to access your phone pictures too.

Yes, the Your Phone app works well most of the time. Sometimes it struggles to sync properly but it's a fine temporary option (assuming Verizon eventually fixes their app).
BTW, I received this private message from a Verizon customer service rep:
"I know how important it is to have this program working with your computer. The Message+ Verizon Messages - Windows Desktop application is not compatible with Windows 10 computers. The Windows messaging client for Verizon messages is being temporarily removed to prevent syncing issues and customers are able to utilize the messaging web client as a windows alternative. https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-54302/ The Message+ team is aware and working on a resolution."
This message demonstrates how clueless their people are (bad training?). Saying it's not compatible with Win 10 is a poor statement considering we've been using this app on Win 10 for years. AND, it CURRENTLY WORKS with people that are using the Messenger App on their phone. I can add screenshots to prove this.

@GD0405 bottom line is your W10 app is broken and has been for some time. You all are aware of it, you've had enough user feedback to tell you that. How about just fixing it and stop asking questions?

FYI and FWIW,
Web Message interface does not send for me, and I only recieve once I clic on the refresh icon. Hope it works better for you. I'm highly considering a different provider as I'm more than fed up with the level of [read as: lack of] support recieved from Verizon ever since they started the focus on 5G development.

Mine worked until this morning and now is not syncing. So very frustrating.
I am giving this until Sept 1 and then will cancel my Message + service.

My Windows Desktop App stopped syncing properly last week. Doesn't sync with the server to show recent incoming/outgoing messages. I can tell in the Messages+ web app that the messages on the server match the ones on my phone. Chatted with Support three times. All three times, Tech confirmed it's a known issue. I hope someone from Support reads this to let all of us users who regularly use Message+ on our PC's something about when this will be fixed and how we should address it when it is. The Microsoft Store does not show a version date, so there's no way to tell if we have the most recent version installed when they finally fix this. This seems to be the only place I've found to check on this particular issue.

I was able to use the Microsoft "Your Phone" app on my PC and "Your Phone Companion" on my Android phone to now see, send and receive all incoming/outgoing messages from the Verizon Messages+ app on my phone. I started by launching Your Phone on my PC, and it stepped me through the setup on my phone. Just did it, and it seems to be working fine. I'd rather have the Verizon app on my PC, but since it's not working, this is getting the job done.

Thank you for posting this alternative. I will give it a try. I have been on other message strings on this forum with the same exact issue and the forum is remiss with all the people with the same issue. I have even called C/S for this and received a reply that the Message+ app is not supported in Windows 10.
I find it funny that it has worked fine for years on Windows 10 and now for a few weeks does not.

I've been having the same issue with the messages app not working on the PC. I called Verizon and they said they are aware of the issue and the messages app currently does not work on Windows 10. They said there is no timeline for the issue to get resolved.

I switched to Google Messages with Messages for Web three days ago. It works fine. I can send and receive messages seamlessly on my phone or laptop (with Windows 10). As a shareholder of Verizon, I am particularly disappointed that Verizon has done nothing to fix this problem.

The people that they put on for support are not there to really give you support.... it's just to make it appear that they are. The %^%$# Message program is BROKEN.... fix it. Surely they can afford to buy a Windows 10 computer for testing rather than asking a million questions.... and surely they can read what we write. It's obvious a lot of times that they don't even read what people write.

As a retired, former Verizon Videoconferencing support engineer, the FIRST thing I would do when getting a trouble report/issue, is to REPLICATE the issue. Trying to use the same/similar equipment software versions, seeing what was happening was crucial to troubleshooting. Not that I don't think Verizon support is doing this, but I would LOVE to be part of the troubleshooting team to help resolve these issues. What's frustrating is that we get NO feedback as to what they are seeing or doing. As I've stated before, maybe in another thread, an explanation of how the synchronization process between Integrated Messaging devices is supposed to work would be beneficial.

Exactly.... I was a systems analyst for years at a major company and when a problem occured the first thing that I tried was to duplicate the problem so the first thing I would do is get a Windows 10 machine with basic software and make sure it's up to date and then see if the problem occurred on it. If not, then start narrowing it down to something else on other machines that are causing it. I think a MS update is what caused it to break but that's just a guess.

I have the same problem with Windows 10 and I count on this PC app to get my text messages because of work and absolutily lousey Verizon cell service at Medina, ND. You can't go in any buildings in Medina, ND without loosing the one bar of cell phone service. Rural Medina we jump from "No Service" to one bar countless times a day. I have complained to Verizon about this a few times. But no fix, even though we are next to a major interstate in ND and there are TWO unrented towers in the area, one is a mile away, and another is 4 miles away, both are right beside a very well traveled I-94, that cell phone service could be applied to provide the many of us that can't get cell phone service unless we climb up something! I need this Verizon Message+ to work. I can send out on it, but the last few days I can no longer receive my text messages. I'm on Windows 10 Pro with latest updates.
