Is there another way to activate message + on a phone with no camera? I work in a secured area and the camera on my company phone is disabled. It has been working fine for years, but just upgraded to a new phone and now I cannot activate the app without scanning the QR code. This is a big issue. Many people I work with will start having this problem as the company phones continue to be upgraded. Need a fix ASAP. Both my personal and company phone are on Verizon network.

All I do is message, so I understand the importance of being able to keep in touch using this method. Here is the link to the Message+ FAQs https://www.verizon.com/support/verizon-messages-faqs/ please see number 4 under general information as to how to get the Message+.

Did you make your work aware you need the camera on your phone to get this app started? Seems if everyone is eventually going to have this problem your work place needs to figure something out. Maybe a one time use of the camera then disable after the app is set up.

Seems like your work needs to figure it out if people need this app on work phones.

I assume you used the search function for the forum and saw this and a few other posts on this subject but in case you didn't I will link this one. I think nothing has changed since this post in 2019. Either that or hopefully verizon will come along and give you a work around they came up with.

Bluestreakm3, our goal is to provide a suitable resolution. The QR code is required at this time for security reasons. One option is to temporarily activate a phone with a camera to your line for the setup and then reactivate the phone with the disabled camera. Does that help?
