Amber,

Yes I backed up all my messages to Verizon Cloud. The link you sent me is if I need to restore messages synced to Verizon Messages (Message+) in the last 90 days or from an SD card after switching from one Android smartphone to another. - This is not the case.

First of all I am switching from Android to iOS (not another Android). Both my Android and iPhone have the Message+ app.

The Message+ app on my Android has messages going back to 2013. The iPhone Message+ app seems to only allow the last 90 days to be restored. I need all my message restored going back to 2013 just like it is on my Android. I need all my text messages on my iPhone. How do I make this happen?

AlanDale, I rely on text to communicate and have a lot of old message threads, so I know how important it is to get that content moved over to a new phone. Apple devices have some great features and we hope that you are enjoying the new phone. A great option for transferring content from Android to iOS is through the Move to iOS app. Here is a web page https://www.verizon.com/support/knowledge-base-212880/ with details. We hope this information helps.

Loren,

I download Samsung Data Transfer to my S8+ and it only gives the option to transfer to another Android even though the documentation in the link you provided says it can transfer to iPhone.

AlanDale, sorry for the inconvenience on that. Another option is the Move to iOS app as shown on the following web page https://www.verizon.com/support/knowledge-base-212880/. We hope that option helps get the transfer done.

David,

The Move to iOS app has a bug and stalls when 1 minute is left with the data transfer. I gave the app 5 hours to complete the last 1 minute left message and no luck. I ran the app 5 times. The last time I ran it I had a Verizon tech verify that all the data was transferred. So that is not the problem. The core of the problem is that the old Message+ allowed years of messages to be stored whereas the new version of Message+ only allows 90 days worth of messages to be stored. Verizon needs to fix the Message+ app to allow all the messages to be shown/stored and not just 90 days. Since Verizon may never fix the Message+ app I should be allowed to view my text messages in the Verizon Cloud. However the Verizon Cloud does not seem to provide that ability. So all my messages are there in the Verizon Cloud but no way to view them. I have asked a Verizon tech if my Message+ messages could be restored into another text message app on my iPhone and she did not know of one. I need a solution, I need access to my text messages prior to 90 days going back to 2013.

AlanDale, the technical issue with completing a transfer of information can be frustrating. Regrettably, there are limitations related to 90 days when it comes to text messages in a lot of cases. Your feedback on the limitations will be reviewed for ways to improve the experience in the future. I found a web page https://www.verizon.com/support/knowledge-base-217522/ with steps on how to view texts in My Verizon. Then here is a link https://www.verizon.com/support/content-transfer/ to the Verizon content transfer center with all the available options for transferring content. We hope one of those options will help.
