I have an iPhone for personal use and an iPad which obviously sync together. I have a work phone that is an android. I have iMessage on my iPad and iPhone and message+ on my android phone. I downloaded message+ to my iPad which also shares with my iPhone with the androids phone number. So essentially I get the androids messages on my iPad as well as my iPhones messages. They are two separate applications. One for work one for personal use. I’d like to keep them separate so I’m wondering if I sync my contacts on message+ will it sync my personal contacts with my work contacts and vice versa? Right now both work independently but I don’t get names on message+ only phone numbers. I just don’t want them to “talk” to each other. Again, the message+ is attached to a completely different phone number than the iPhone. Also when you delete messages off one connected device it deletes across all devices. Is there any way to keep them on one but delete off the other? Thanks for any insight.

We want to make sure you're able to keep your work and personal contact separated. Contacts synced into your iPad will automatically sync to your Apple ID which will automatically be send over to your personal phone.

Ok, but my question is the android phone isn’t connected to my Apple ID. It’s completely separate and the phone number is different than my iPhone with my personal information. When I downloaded message+ on the iPad I used the androids phone number. If I sync the contacts from it, will it only pull from the contacts from that number? If I have to deal with work contacts in my personal contact list on my iPad it is what it is, but will my personal contact list be synced to the android phone number then?

Any Verizon Message+ changes or support may be mute, if as reported, the entire platform will be retired mid-2024. From 11/9/2023:

You might want to look at other messaging services. I switched to Google Messages on my Android moto z4 phone.
