The new message counter is stuck on my S6. It states that I have 5 new messages but in fact, everything has been read. This is only happening on this device and not on my other connected devices. Any ideas of how to clear this and get it back to it's regular working mode?

HI AndybNYC
Please follow these steps to clear the counter.
Even if you know all of your messages have been read, please do this to 'Mark all as Read' :
Tap on 1 avatar, then โallโ, then โread' icon (chat bubble with checkmark). Then, restart your device.
If the issue continues, please let me know.
THANKS,
ALIEM

Thanks, but that did not correct the issue. Is there anything else that I can try?

HI AndybNYC,
If that does not work, I suggest 'clear cache' in Applications Manager>Verizon Messages.
Let me know...

Hi Aliem,
I have the same problem with Samsung GS4. My message+ app shows 2 messages. I tried both of your suggested remedies to no avail. Can you suggest any thing else? I also have message on this device only
