Message+ notification of a new message takes me to the last message I was working on

Hello,

I have a question about the Message+ app. When I get a notification of a new message it takes me back to the last message I had open in the app. I'd RATHER have it take me to the new message I just received; an action more relevant to the notification. Can I change this?
