Message+ notifications is using the wrong sound for some contacts

I have a Galaxy S23 with all software up to date. I set a default notification sound in Message+ (Hamburger icon/Customize/Notifications/Sound), and I have several other contacts which have unique sounds to better distinguish who's texting me (Individual text conversation/3 dots/Customize/Notifications/Sound). I received the text notification sound which is unique to one of my daughters. When I checked my messages, the text was from a co-worker, which should have had the default notification sound. At that point I extered the text conversation with the co-worker's and opened up his message settings. I click the 3 dots/Customize/Notifications, and it displays my daughter's customized notification page... NOT the co-worker's page. This has happened with a few other contacts as well, where I should be hearing the default nitification sound but instead I hear my daughter's, or someone else's customized sound, or the default notification sound for the phone itself (not the default sound I set in Message+). Is there a fix for this?

MattL85 We're here to help. Try clearing the settings to default, then set up the custom notification again. ~Peter

I now have a similar problem. I had set a contacts sound to Pixie Dust about a month ago. Well, its starting to grate on my nerves so I tried to change it. IT WILL NOT CHANGE.  Setting it to default sound does not help. Setting it to a different noise does not help. Resetting all settings does not help. Mute the contact does not help. Deleting app cache does not help. Restarting the phone after changes does not help. Any and all combinations of the above does not help.

I am at the point where I may delete all data in the app which would likely delete all messages.


I seriously need help.

Isn't the Message+ platform being discontinued and support terminated?

...Just another VZW customer...trying to offer some assistance...
