Message+ on web keeps on reloading and is unusable.

When I go to Message+ on the web at https://web.vma.vzw.com/vma/web2/Message.do

Often it keeps on automatically reloading over and over again and I cannot send any messages.  My only recourse is to logout the account at https://www.verizonwireless.com/ then close the web browser and re-open the browser and login back in.  It's almost maddening to do this almost every time I need to check my text messages on the web.  This is a very bad user experience.

please read the previous posts.  Yes.  Chrome, IE, Edge, Firefox.  Other people have tried others.  We all have the same issue.  We have cleared cookies and history as well.

Thank you for that information, TKDIRK1. Do you have any issues with other parts of the site?

It is the same problem EVERYONE has been having. No matter what browser we are using. It keeps reloading the page. Msgs wont get sent out.  Read the communities complaint and you will see. This is ridiculous that we have to keep saying the same thing over and over again for over a YEAR! Fire the engineer who build this tool cause he is an blockhead.

Happening to me too. Generic Chrome install, no plugins, Win 10.

So hit-and-miss as to whether this thing works right or not.

I did used to use the Windows App. Yes, it froze from time-to-time too--maybe once a week--but they've taken that down from the Windows Store so I cannot install on my new computer. 😞

Wish there was a published API I could use in my own app.

The Win10 desktop app was removed from the Windows Store but the old v1.0.17.0 .EXE file has been available via Dropbox in previous posts.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/biatyb1m6egwx1t/Win10%20Message%2B%20v1.0.17.0.exe?dl=0 is the link for a copy of the old Win 10 Message+ app v1.0.17.0 .exe file.

I've been having this same issue.  I've read through all 7 pages of this forum and I'm realizing that Verizon is a joke.  They keep missing the point of what people are saying and keep saying the same thing over and over again, which does absolutely nothing for anyone.  It's apparent that the agents are trained to read off of cards when certain issues arrive, and when 2 or 3 dozen people tell them that that solution did not work, the agents protocol is to just stick to reading the same card over and over again.  They should just stop making any posts until they solve this issue with the web developers, because it's just making them look more and more like blockheads.

This was reported a YEAR ago and I'm having the same problem today.  I'm a web programmer, and have to say, Verizon has some of the least user-friendly UX programming I've ever seen.

I was using their messenger app for Windows - but of course, they've removed it from the App Store, so when I re-setup Windows 10 on my office PC, it's no longer available - been trying to use the web app, but the above problem makes it almost totally unusable.

With all the tons of $$$ Verizon has, you'd think they'd spend some of it to research and conclude the - very common sense - effect of such a frustrating experience for their customers does not reflect favorably for their company.  Alas, like so many other behemoths, Verizon obviously doesn't care about maintaining a positive experience in ALL their apps.

Solution: use Microsoft Edge.  No refresh problem. Works with default Edge settings; no mods needed!

I just saw this thread for the first time.  I'm using Chrome on Win10 also and have had this annoying  problem using https://web.vma.vzw.com/vma/web2/Message.do for eons.  NOT the phone app, NOT the pc app, just the website used for messaging.

I type a long text message on that site, press Enter, then in the text box it says "Sending" forever and never actually sends the message.  If I click on the refresh button, the page reloads and my message is gone.

PLEASE FIX THIS ABOMINATION.

Bryanator,

Being able to send your messages wherever you are is a big deal. I know how useful the web application can be and we want to make sure you can fully utilize it. How often does this happen to you? Does the same thing happen using other browsers?

I normally use only Chrome (77.0.3865.120), and it has been happening every day for some time on a Win10 platform.  Today I tried it on Chrome and IE11 and the problem hasn't recurred for some reason.  I will continue to try it throughout the day and will post again if the problem returns.

The problem returned shortly after my last post.  Continues to this day.  What is the solution?

Any resolution?  I log into https://web.vma.vzw.com/vma/web2/Message.do on Win10/Chrome and the cursor just keeps rolling, doesn't do anything.  Logging out then back in gets the same response.

I know how useful Verizon Messages + can be on a computer, Bryanator. I would love to help as much as I can.

Please know that The Message+ Verizon Messages - Windows Desktop application is not compatible with Windows 10 computers. If you are not using Windows 10, please follow the steps below to report the issue:

  1. Open the Message+ app.
  2. Click Menu > Settings > Account.
  3. Report a bug.

Alternatively, you can submit the feedback by visiting one of the following Apps and selecting the option to email the developer:

  • App page on the Play Store for Android devices
  • App Store for iOS devices

Have you tried a different operating system?

I'm not running an app, just using the web site https://web.vma.vzw.com/vma/web2/Message.do

I'm using Chrome on Windows 10 Enterprise, but should that matter?

Bryanator,

We appreciate the additional details. Have you attempted to use a different browser? Can you clear your cookies and cached pages on your Chrome browser?

Clearing the cache and cookies, closing Chrome (even restarting Chrome afterward) didn't help.  I seem to have no issue using IE11, but I prefer Chrome for many reasons.
