Not receiving messages on computer app? I can send but not receive. Have uninstalled and reinstalled. Have disconnected computer via phone app and reconnected. It will say syncing but still same problem. Was working fine until few days ago. I have read all the forum and it's still not fixed. I HATE texting from my phone..prefer a laptop or computer. PLease Verizon fix the problem.

I have the exact same problem and it started when I updated to the 1903 version of Windows 10. Have you found a solution other than changing messaging apps?

Giantbear4,
I have no idea if our postings can attract any responsible and/or capable people from Verizon, who can investigate/fix this Messages failure.
If we can get some attention, it might help them if you can identify your exact version of Windows 10.
In case you are (or anyone else is) unfamiliar with how to find that; tap the "Windows" key, then type "winver" and tap "Enter".
A window should pop up with the details, like the ones I provided above.
Wish us luck!

Has anyone experiencing this issue made any changes recently with their Verizon account that has Integrated Messaging? Like, change password, add/delete devices or anything? It could be there is something going on with the processes or databases involved on the servers doing the synchronization of messages on devices associated with the accounts. Generally, when this gets escalated to other levels of tech support behind the scenes, we don't hear about what was found and/or fixed. Sometimes things just start working again.

In my case, I have made NO changes of any kind to my Verizon Account details since activating the cell number in my Verizon Messages March 2016 with a new Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
I replaced the S7 Edge (battery was bulging) with my current S9+ March 2018.
All 5 other "Devices registered with integrated messaging service" (see attached snapshot below) have worked smoothly (with only a few glitches) over all the intervening years.
gts4lwifi = Samsung Galaxy Tab S4
- working since April 2019 - continues to sync correctly today
JohnF iPad = Apple iPad Air
- working since July 2016 - continues to sync correctly today
Only all 3 Windows based Messages apps (2 different versions) stopped working.
I've done some more checking and Verizon Messages stopped working, seemingly NOT corresponding to any Windows Updates:
P6T-DELUXE-V2 - last sync 7/19 - OS was at Windows 7 Pro SP-1 64-bit (6.1.7601)
- before latest update 7/21/2019 (KB4507437)
P9X79 - last sync 7/19 - OS was at Version 1809 (OS Build 17763.615)
Dell_XPS_15_JAF - last sync 7/17 - OS was at Version 1903 (OS Build 18362.239)
I'm changing my "theory" to it being something Verizon changed somewhere in their system.
Any other theories? Can we dig up any more details?

@vzw_customer_support Can someone escalate this thread and the other one related, to Technical Support for investigation?

Maybe we all need to send emails to verizonmessages at verizonwireless.com to report this issue and get someones attention. I've sent them emails on other bug issues and got this included in the response:
"When submitting a bug report, please describe the problem, including the steps to reproduce it. If possible, send us a screenshot showing related error messages or demonstrating your problem. Please include the following information (for each impacted device) in your e-mail:
- Device Manufacturer
- Model Number (Home Screen > Device Settings > About)
- Build/Firmware Number (Home Screen > Device Settings > About)
- Version of Verizon Messages (Menu > More > About)
Thanks for using Verizon Messages!
The Verizon Messages Team"

Message+ stopped synching on my Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 machines about the same time, end of July (ish). When I did the uninstall on my Windows 8.1 machine then tried reconfiguring, the new install never sent a text to verify... it errored out. On my Windows 10 machine using the cruddy Microsoft Store app, it shows the older texts but doesn't sync to new ones, even after I uninstalled and cleared all Message+ from the Store, folders and registry.
Verizon needs to figure this out.
P.S. Verizon should offer a "side loaded" (non-Microsoft Store) Windows 10 application.

If we can get a resolution sometime before the next evolution of the cellphone... that would be great!

Just found Microsoft's "Your Phone" app. If you're an Android/PC user, this looks very promising. I've tried a variety of texting apps and landed on Verizon as the best for me until this terrible fail. Even paid the $5/mo fee to have the cloud sync my contacts. Cancelling that service TODAY and using Your Phone.

I want Messages+ for PC working again! I have lousy cell phone service in my local community. Everyones phones jump from "No Service" to "1 bar" service numerous times a day. So, using other programs that HAVE TO SYNC WITH YOUR CELL PHONE ALL THE TIME, DOES NOT WORK WHEN "NO SERVICE" COUNTLESS TIMES A DAY! I need this to work Syncing into my Verizon account, not with my cell phone! Syncing direct with cell phone will not work when you have unlimited service like I have. Phone rings, I answer, and I have a 90% chance after saying "Hello" that it hangs up with "No Service"! I need Messages+ for PC to work via wifi to my Verizon account, so I can at least communicate that way! FIXIT PLEEEEEEEESE! PS: come visit Medina, ND along I-94 if you want to get away from cell phone use for a little while! Or find something to climb up on if you want phone service...Like they did on "Green Acres". That's the type of Verizon cell phone service we have.

The web-based version of Verizon is giving me trouble today. Is anyone else experiencing this? It's not connecting or populating any messages whatsoever.

Well, for grins this afternoon, I sent a message from my Win 10 laptop running Message+ v1.0.17.0 to a VZW contact with a Pixel phone. The outgoing message sync'ed on my Win 10 desktop running the web access and on my iPad running Message+ app v3 something. It DID NOT show up on my Droid Turbo 2 phone, primary Integrated Messaging device. I did receive a response on my Droid from my contact, so the message was delivered, but the response DID NOT sync on my Win 10 devices. On my Droid Message+ app, I went into Settings->Account and did a Restore Messages, From Online....Go figure, the original outgoing message now shows up on my Droid....go figure....

Verizon is completely broken now. And still not a substantial peep on status of reboot or fix for the app.

Methinks this is a Microsoft thing. Message wars, Google has one, Microsoft has one, maybe they want Verizon out of the picture...

Ive been having this problem for the last 2 weeks and have been reading all the posts. I think i got to the bottom of it today.
I called support, they transfered me to tech support. I explained, and got transfered to level 2 tech support. She (I forget her name) was super helpful. She agreed it was a syncing issue, found a switch somewhere and changed it. It made me drop the call... but after i rebooted my phone, all my messages started to sync on the desktop app after disconnecting them from the device manager and re adding them. (I had been getting an error OTTProvision Failed during PIN Generation)
just thought I would give my feedback.
thanks

Her name was Peggy. She reprovisioned my account on the switch and that was what fixed it.
If level 2 texh doesn't know what to do, ask for Peggy.

Welcome to the madness. Good luck. Check the other threads on this. The last communication I got was that it is not compatible with Win 10. As far as I can tell, it isn't working on Win 7 anymore either.
Tip, Verizon is clueless as of right now. One can hope they will get a fiix out sometime soon.

Somewhere in the Verizon mainframe room, Peter Griffith tripped over a cable and shutdown the sync server while he was chasing fly that landed on his beer.
