Not receiving messages on computer app? I can send but not receive. Have uninstalled and reinstalled. Have disconnected computer via phone app and reconnected. It will say syncing but still same problem. Was working fine until few days ago. I have read all the forum and it's still not fixed. I HATE texting from my phone..prefer a laptop or computer. PLease Verizon fix the problem.

My syncing issue started today, 8/12/2019. Only 1 person I texted with today has updated on my Windows 10 desktop. All other texts today have not synced. I restarted computer, disconnected my desktop from Message +, reconnected and the same texts are there as before I did all of that.
I haven't changed any Verizon information in many years. The only thing I see on my desktop is Windows Defender Security updates today and each of the past few days.

Do you know what phones and maybe service they have that you texted? Is the one that sync'ed somehow unique from all the rest that did not sync?

My devices quit syncing yesterday.
Samsung Note 9
Lenovo Flex 5 Laptop
iPad Mini 4th gen
Asus R5 laptop
There were a few other laptops as well (My Lenovo is my carry laptop, and I keep others at work/home that I use on a regular basis - I generally will use two computers at once depending on what's going on) but the ones I listed above are my "Go-To" daily devices.
I see the issues started with many of you weeks ago; and like all of you, I tried uninstalling, removing computers/devices from my account/adding them back on. No Joy.
I've had issues in the past, but generally was able to circument it by changing the router/AP I was logged on to (I work in the hotel industry, and each hotel has several networks to tag, depending on if you're a guest, employee, management, security, IT, etc). This latest issue has affected all connections, from home, work, and the different hotels I address. Like many of you who depend on messaging for work, the issue is a real downer - I do prefer to text from my computer, as some days the volume of messages I receive allows me to address them quicker from a device with a keyboard. This capability is what won me over more than any other benefit that the other providers offered - and I've come to depend on it. For me, text messaging addresses money, employee concerns, scheduling, and emergencies.
Does Verizon not care about their customers? In some of these threads regarding this issue, having each new rep constantly asking the same question or giving the same advice gives an illusion that they don't. For many of you, this has been a concern that has spanned weeks. Either fix the issue, or tell us that you're discontinuing the service so we can move on and find other vendors that CAN provide us a suitable service, and quit blowing smoke.

With the sync'ing issue being so inconsistent with when it occurs, I'm suspecting the Verizon Messaging team is working on the servers. Maybe when making changes, they are affecting others. Wishful thinking?

Ok. Let's try this to get some movement on getting this issue resolved. Everybody experiencing this issue:
1. Call Customer Care: 800-922-0204
2. Ask for Tech Support
3. Ask them to open case/ticket for "Integrated Messaging Message+ sync issues on desktop app"
If enough of us call in and open cases/tickets maybe we'll hear something that is being done or at least identified as a 'known issue'.

We've been at this for a very long time. So no questions allowed by Verizon until you've read the entire thread.
There are a lot of tech people complaining here, so we know what we're talking about. It would be best if this was escalated to a technical team. However, I'm not sure how supported this app truly is on the desktop.

Well, I Googled to figure out how to fix my problem and here I am. I have the latest Messages+ app (6.9.0 from Google Play) on my Samsung Galaxy Note 8. I have Windows 7, with the 1.0.17.0 version of Messages+. By the way, I just did a whole wild goose chase to see if maybe my program needed an update, and I was led to this page where they tell you how to go download the program for Windows 7, but the link it gives ONLY gives you access to the app on Windows Store, which means it's NOT going to work with Windows 7. Over the past week or two I've sent various texts from my 1.0.17.0 desktop app, people have recieved and responded to my texts, and I have not recieved the texts on my PC. I did recieve their responses on my 6.9.0 app, but I don't see the messages I sent that they're responding to. I went to the web app and I am able to see both the messages I sent as well as the messages I recieved. But of course this is only good for the recent messages, and although I back up my messages on my phone, I can't back up the recent messages sent via the desktop app because it doesn't sync with the app on my phone.
Not sure if that's helpful as another use-case where your app should work and it doesn't, or if that was all just me ranting about it being broke. The idea of Messages+ is really nice, just the execution has been lacking. It seems like as the thing has grown it's just difficult to support... Maybe a cost saving move would be to make these apps open-source and just make Messages+ an API.

This is really irritating. I've just started using Messages+. Syncs perfectly on my phone and tablet, but I'm trying to install it on my Windows 10 laptop, and Verizon tell me to go to the MS store, and on the MS store is says it isn't available. Anyone know where I can download it?

Thank you so much for providing this link and download! This is a Windows 10 file, BUT it is working perfectly fine on my Windows 7 Alienware laptop (64-bit OS, Home Premium, Service Pack 1, Intel i7, etc).
For anyone doubtful, I scanned the file with AVAST prior to installation and results were negative.

JRC5, I truly apologize for any confusion regarding Verizon Messages and Windows 10. Currently, the two are not compatible and we do not have date as to when they will be. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. I hope this helps.
